Academic Facilities

At »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ, the lecture halls, laboratories, and study spaces are designed to strengthen collaborative teaching and learning. Many of the historic buildings represent the long-standing traditions of academic excellence at the College and include up-to-date sound systems and multimedia capabilities.

The Austin E. Knowlton Center for Science and Mathematics

Olin Hall

Olin is one of two campus buildings devoted to STEM disciplines and is home to chemistry, computer science, environmental studies, mathematics, physics, and data science. Classrooms, faculty offices, and student/faculty collaborative spaces are also located within Olin.

The Grace Doherty Library

Crounse Hall

Crounse Hall is home to the Grace Doherty Library, Vahlkamp Theater, The Center for Teaching & Learning, as well as classrooms and faculty offices. The library features comfortable study areas, computer stations, and many resources for research. Conveniently located within Crounse Hall is Einstein Bros. Bagels, an American chain that specializes in bagels and coffee.

Young Hall

Young Hall is home to the programs in psychology, neuroscience, biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and organic and inorganic chemistry.

 

The Jones Visual Arts Center

JVAC is home to all art classes at »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ. The art program offers instruction in both studio practice and art history, with major and minor concentrations available in both areas. Media taught include drawing, oil painting, printmaking, ceramics, and hot glass. Classrooms, studios, a slide library, state-of-the-art hot glass studio, and faculty offices for the art department are located in JVAC. The AEGON Gallery hosts student and guest artist exhibitions.

Grant Hall

Grant Hall is located in the Norton Center for the Arts building and serves as home to classrooms, studios, and faculty offices for the departments of dramatic arts and music. Grant includes recital halls, playing rooms, well-lit hardwood acting studios, and a versatile black box theatre for student productions.

»Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ’s campus features two outdoor classrooms where students enjoy an occasional outdoor classroom experience. Outdoor classes are a wonderful part of what we do at »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ and enhances the »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ experience.
