RESEARCH
Limerick’s teaching and research interests include contemporary Latin American narrative, Afro-Hispanic studies and African Diaspora studies. One of her main interests is historical fiction written by women of color in the Americas, and she investigates how the genre of historical fiction has the power to address silences and myths in the historical record. More broadly, she is interested in making transnational connections among African-American, Afro-Latin American, and Afro-European writers and artists.
